About

Hi! I am an English Honours Graduate. I love reading and writing (as much as my other interests and hobbies). I think of myself as an explorer and learner in this convoluted yet beautiful journey of life. I believe in fluidity and flexibility, although I have to take rigid positions in life.

It’s been a year since I graduated and the intellectual adventures of academia still inspire me in the smallest parts of my life. Those years have improved my perception and comprehension of life (in general), philosophy, ethics, sociology and polity surrounding me. I understood how we need to be updated about our socio-cultural and political environment as much as our technical field of study. I understood how patriarchy is (literally) deeply rooted in us and society unless we acknowledge it and decondition ourselves for a better change. I understood how these socio-political structures and institutions which seem very distant from our everyday lives; are rather intertwined with, and very influential, on our lives too.

Now, even though I have left Literature, the insightful course never leaves me. Within these bachelor years, it nurtured me into becoming a more conscious and aware person. Even though the outside world forces me into sexist and conventional structures everyday, my mind never fails to raise my spirit just like Satan in Paradise Lost (though I’m more of a fan of Lilith than Satan) or Maleficent from Disney movie Maleficent or like Celie in The Colour Purple or like Lilith and Sabrina Spellman in the series Sabrina.

With this blog I want to extend my- learnings and experiences of academic life and university space- to general public. I hope you’ll like the articles published here and help me build a holistic space for sharing views and opinions. Dissent and positively motivated criticism is wholeheartedly welcomed. However, any kind of unnecessary personal attacks, abusive replies and spamming replies are unacceptable and will not be entertained.

So with all enthusiasm and inspiration, let’s begin Doston (friends) ! πŸ˜€
